Here are the first 15 rounds per ADP of NFFC RotoWire Online Championship drafts from July 1 - July 15:
Some assorted thoughts, I might change my mind.
Think I will make Pick 3 my first choice. Give me whoever is left among Chase, Bijan Robinson and Gibbs. Justin Jefferson has QB uncertainty, CeeDee Lamb is probably safe, Barkley is old and mileage-heavy and Nabers has bad QBs
Lamb and ARSB are sharp picks. Just very high healthy floors, have proven durable. Nabers and Nacua aren’t as reliable yet health-wise, Nabers because he’s only been in the league one year and had some minor issues. Of course, I want to draft Nabers because I’m a Giants fan, and he could get 200 targets.
I’d go Brian Thomas and Drake London at the turn. Rock solid floors. I’d take both ahead of Christian McCaffrey. Probably Nico Collins, who has a massive ceiling, too, though both are injury risks with 1.1 upside. McCaffrey is great before the Round 2 dropoff, but if he’s getting bumped to Round 1, I’m probably out.
Will pass on Ladd McConkey at that price. Don’t trust him to stay healthy. Bucky Irving is really good, but seems steep to me before proving his durability with a full load.
I’m good with Bowers at his price. Could set TE records this year.
Last four picks of Round 2 seem like a drop-off. Maybe I should drop my KDS to the middle of Round 1, take Lamb or ARSB and grab Bowers/AJ Brown.
I like gambling on Marvin Harrison in Round 3. Year 2 is when receivers typically get it. Kyler Murray is not ideal as a QB for a top receiver though. Too herky-jerky and inconsistent. Rather a worse QB who is more predictable. Maybe I’m talking myself out of him. Was such a disconnect last year between the two.
Can’t take the QBs in Round 3. So many good cheap options later — Justin Herbert, CJ Stroud, JJ McCarthy, Jordan Love, Trevor Lawrence. Even Matthew Stafford and 12-inch are possibilities. I might change my mind and take one in Rounds 8-10, but hard to pull the trigger in 3-4.
Love the WR at the end of 5. Waddle, Ridley, Odunze.
I like Jordan Mason in Round 8. Aaron Jones is really long in the tooth.
I’m in on Cooper Kupp and Stefon Diggs in Round 8. Gamble on former greatness at a decent price.
Bo Nix is a good QB option in Round 9. Sean Payton plus running ability. Justin Fields will be good for as long as he keeps the job too.
Hollywood Brown, Marvin Mims seem like targets in Round 11. Rashid Shaheed too, but I had him everywhere last year, and he got hurt.
If you wanted to go pure upside, you could draft McCaffrey/Collins/Tyreek Hill/Omarion Hampton. It’s always tempting to draft like that rather than ARSB/AJB/Davante Adams and Courtland Sutton. But boring often wins. (I actually kind of like Adams in that situation, even though he’s old.)
