I signed up for Alan’s draft because he always used to sign up for mine and figured it would be fun to livestream and talk trash. I drew the 11th pick. (Alan was Team 9, and Kevin, “The Geek”, Epstein, who livestreamed with us, was Team 6.)
Here are the results:
.11 Amon Ra St. Brown — I wanted Brian Thomas or Ashton Jeanty, but I knew with Alan picking 1.9 and Joe Nowak, who did both BCL leagues this year, at 1.10, I was getting neither. I settled on Brown over Drake London solely because I thought I had a better chance of getting London on the way back.
.2 Drake London — And I was correct. London and ARSB should net me north of 200 catches if they stay healthy.
.2 Jaxon Smith-Njigba — I tried to get him in the last two drafts, but missed by one pick each time. Like ARSB and London, he’s the unquestioned No. 1 receiver on his team and in his prime.
.11 Courtland Sutton — I like Sutton as the clear top target in an improving passing game. At 29, he’s still in his late prime, too.
.2 Kenneth Walker — The sharps seem to love Walker this year, but I’m wary of his injury history. Still in the fifth, and needing an RB, I thought it was worth the risk. I considered RJ Harvey to build a Broncos stack, but I already have two shares of him.
.11 David Montgomery — A boring pick, but I needed a No. 2 RB, and Montgomery should give me the 10-14 points I need out of my last starting slot most week. And as “The Geek” brought up, what happens if Jahmyr Gibbs gets hurt?
.2 Rome Odunze — I needed a running back more, and I had yet to take a QB or TE, but Odunze was the best player on the board, and it’s no problem to have five good receivers, given the bye weeks and inevitable injuries.
.11 Bo Nix — They snaked me on Monday, but I wouldn’t be denied the Denver/Sean Payton stack.
.2 Evan Engram — The stack is complete with Nix and his two likely top targets. Engram could have a huge year in Payton’s system given the lack of a go-to after Sutton.
.11 Brian Robinson — I really wanted Cam Skattebo who went one pick ahead of me, but if Christian McCaffrey goes down, Robinson turns into early-season Jordan Mason from last year.
.2 Quinshon Judkins — He’s unsigned, but the Browns took him in the second round, ahead of Ohio State teammate TreVeyeon Henderson. I imagine they want to make good on that pick.
.11 Jared Goff — My backup QB, also pairs nicely with ARSB.
.2 Woody Marks — Nick Chubb looks like the starter for now, but if he goes down, or turns out to be washed, Marks could get a real shot.
.11 Cowboys Kicker — Justin Tucker minus Deshaun Watson.
.2 Isaac TeSlaa — Zero to 60 in three seconds, if concussed can shift to driverless mode. Also augments my Lions stack.
.11 Brashard Smith — He made the Chiefs. After Isiah Pacheco the backfield touches should be wide open.
.2 Kareem Hunt — Probably Pacheco’s primary backup for now.
.11 Theo Johnson — I needed a second TE, and Johnson is the clear starter and pass catcher on the Giants.
.2 Patriots Defense — They draw the Raiders Week 1, and I like Mike Vrabel to create a culture of toughness.
.11 Harold Fannin — I had Miles Sanders queued up, but Seslowsky talked me into Fannin.

team 10 looks like he thought it was a dynasty league. I do love treyveyon and egbuka though. that has to be the earliest treyveyon has gone in a draft
