The third (and likely) final Beat Chris Liss league will take place Sunday, March 10 at 2 pm ET.
It’s $350 of worthless fiat to enter, and at present a 2+ bitcoin (and declining rapidly) grand prize of $150K.
I’ll be rushing home, possibly ill-prepared, from our architect Bernardo’s house after a heavy traditional Portuguese lunch. Signups, I believe, are already available on the Lobby page, though you’ll have to scroll until Greg gets me a link to the specific draft.
These *sometimes* fill up fast, though not always, but figured I’d give my readers an advance heads up.
Full disclosure: I get comped these “Beat Chris Liss” leagues, so if you have a problem with that, definitely do not sign up!
Typically the third one is a FOMO league for me where I reach for players on whom I missed out in BCL1 and 2 to catastrophic effect.
But this time is different.
Admittingly not a baseball expert. It's been a while since I've played in a seasonal league, although I'll probably dabble in some low-level best ball on Draftkings. That being said, I was thinking Casey Mize might be solid a last round dart throw at SP. He's two years removed from Tommy John and reportedly topping out at 97+ on his fastball, over 3 mph faster than he was before the injury. He also was a highly regarded prospect, so he has pedigree.
