I almost forgot to post this, that game was so forgettable. The Niners did more or less what they were supposed to, it was almost like it never happened.
Jayden Daniels made some good throws, but the 49ers bottled up his running.
The Redskins had no viable running game, which is why Daniels had to attempt 40 throws.
Terry McLaurin got hurt again and is probably out for the year. You’d think that would be an upgrade for Stefon Diggs and Antonio Williams, but former first rounder Treylon Burks saw six targets and has been making plays all year. Also tight end Chig Okonkwo (7-7-69-0) got involved.
Mike Evans re-injured his Achilles and sat out the second half after going 5-3-94-0 — that’s why he’s a Hall of Famer, he puts up the numbers BEFORE getting hurt. It doesn’t seem that serious, but he’s old, and teams lie, so you never know.
George Kittle (8-5-69-0) had a good game, but Christian McCaffrey (16-64-2, 10-9-53-0) might have been the biggest beneficiary of the WR shortage.
Brock Purdy did what he had to — no turnovers, two sacks taken.
