What a couple of garbage games. I won’t lie — I opted to watch the five-minute highlights of each. The NFL can schedule two Monday night games if it wants, but no chance I’m gonna spend 90 minutes watching them the next morning, especially when the score of the other one is displayed in the top right corner the entire time, thereby spoiling it.
I needed massive games from Brock Bowers and the Vikings defense, neither of which happened. It’s fine, I got that massive game from Ja’Marr Chase last Monday night to bank the $1,500, and I can live with it.
Caleb Williams has shown a spark at times, but he’s at risk of being a franchise destroyer. Very hard to move on from that No. 1 overall QB who has *some* talent. Could be half a decade before the Bears are relevant again. Chicago never has good QB play, and maybe some of that is due to the home venue. Should have traded down, drafted offensive or defensive line.
Keenan Allen made a very nice sideline catch and caught the only TD. Not quite Davante Adams (only 82 yards on 13 targets) but Allen is not done at 32.
The Vikings offense didn’t have to do much, but it was a fairly modest game for Justin Jefferson on 13 targets too.
The Falcons are sticking with Kirk Cousins, but that’s a mistake. They have no chance to go anywhere even if they were to re-take the division lead over the much stronger Buccaneers. Time to pull out “12-inch.” (How that was not his college nickname I’ll never understand.)
Bijan Robinson had a good game, but I’m never *that* impressed by him. Smooth runner, decent burst, but nothing mind-blowing.
This version of the Raiders is absurd.
