I had the Jets +2.5 in my home picking pool — it was a double week since last week was tied, and I was in first place by one game heading into the night. I didn’t deserve it — the Jets got lucky af with the Hail Mary at the end of the first half, and the Bills dominated both lines of scrimmage. Still, watching that annoying ref call 100 penalties and all the missed FGs was hard to take. What a joke of a game, though the worst call was the RTP against Rodgers. Not even close to RTP. And of course, the edited version was at it again with the replays for six angles on the one-yard tackles for loss. Just a garbage game all around.
Josh Allen misses having a real No. 1 receiver, but you still get that feeling of dread when you’re betting against him. Dalton Kincaid is good, but they don’t make a point of getting him the ball.
Ray Davis did it all. The Jets really struggled to tackle him in the first half, though they did a better job in the second. He looks as good as James Cook.
The Bills wideouts are unstartable.
I traded for Aaron Rodgers in my Dynasty League. I had the bad luck of having Sam Darnold and Patrick Mahomes on bye the same week, the team was in first place, and I couldn’t take a zero. So I dealt Darnold for Rodgers, which is probably a bad deal given next year the league shifts to QB-flex, and the former is more likely to be in the league than the latter. But I’m playing for this year, so I had to do it.
The Jets tree was very narrow — only Breece Hall, Garrett Wilson and Alan Lazard. Mike Williams slipped on the game-sealing pick but still made a lame effort to hold onto the ball that was ripped out of his hands. That’s two straight games ending that way, though last week he was definitely interfered with.
Lazard’s line looks better than it should — that Hail Mary gives him a big boost, and he also caught an insane pass off the hip of the defender. But he’s definitely the No. 2 there over Williams and Tyler Conklin, who caught a pass in the flat and had zero wiggle.
I was impressed by Rodgers’ arm on the Hail Mary — no problem whatsoever getting it to the end zone from his own side of the field.
Between the kicking and the ref show that game was hard to take. The Jets can’t pass protect to save their lives. Just a brutal experience betting on and rooting for them. I can’t even imagine being a fan.
Don't know why the Jets signed the Cowboys used up LT Smith. Poor Rodgers.
Greg the leg is now simply not an NFL kicker anymore. Granted windy but he started those kicks off line. Agree on the penalties. Ridiculous, I said to my wife these guys love the tv time calling off setting penalties, completely destroys game flow. On Rodgers roughing what is guy supposed to do when he tackles him, of course his weight may land on him, it's called pads and a helmet deal with it. Protecting qbs yes but it is ridiculous every other player can be tackled with good technique and these QB's get wrapped in bubble. Good luck with Circa picks. For this quarter if you go 10-0, I know a Longshot, would that put you in the money. 9-1? Or is it hard to forecast
