Not only were there two MNF games again, but ESPN retardedly posted the score of the other one in the upper right hand corner of the screen, creating a spoiler for those watching the edited version. Actually I woke up too early this morning to catch the edited one for the first game, so I just watched the live version (also with the score), fast-forwarding 10 seconds at a click through the huddles and commercials. Almost better that way because I didn’t have to watch every stuff from three different replay angles. For God knows what reason whoever edits the games is instructed to leave in the stuff replays.
The Broncos have a good defense, but Jake Browning is on the ropes. I have to imagine they are at least considering a replacement for Week 5, but either way their season is basically over.
I would still buy low on Ja’Marr Chase. Even with Russell Wilson or best-case Jameis Winston, he’s a top-10 receiver. Maybe even with Browning once Patrick Surtain isn’t guarding him every play.
Chase Brown got a lot of helium late in draft season, but it goes to show why you draft skills and not just roles in early Round 2. Contrast with De’Von Achane.
Bo Nix had a nice game, and it could have been even better but for some drops and the senseless end zone pick. He looked more like the guy from the end of last year. The fantasy production will be there.
JK Dobbins looks great. I faded him due to injury risk and also he was more sluggish last year, but he looks quick and shifty as hell now.
RJ Harvey broke out too — with 14 carries, four catches and a TD. I’d expect him to be in a 40/60 split going forward with most of the catches. But Nix/Sean Payton like to do weird things and spread the ball around.
Courtland Sutton will end up north of 1,000 yards and eight TDs with upside for more. You can’t really count on anyone else though. Evan Engram had a bad drop, but seven targets is good, and he’ll be involved.
I had Justin Fields, Breece Hall and Garrett Wilson going, and for a junk game this was borderline best-case scenario. If Braelon Allen is out Hall could be a low-end RB1 still.
Wilson had a second TD called back for offensive PI. He’s QB proof. Which is why I still like Chase who has to be also.
Mason Taylor (seven targets, five catches, 55 yards) looked pretty smooth as a receiver. The Jets have no one else besides Wilson and Hall.
Tyreek Hill is out for the year after a brutal knee injury. I wanted to get him this year, only landed him in the Stacker_Sports draft and traded him last week. You wonder if Jaylen Waddle can be that 150-target alpha in his absence.
Darren Waller caught two short TDs. With Hill gone and Jonnu Smith in Pittsburgh, there’s upside if Waller can stay healthy.
Achane saw only two targets, but that was partially due to game flow. He should be in borderline Christian McCaffrey territory with Hill out.
As you always say, at least Tyreek had the decency to catch a TD and collect some yardage before getting hurt. Truly unacceptable and thoughtless is getting hurt and giving you a goose egg.
Brutal hit for me though, I drafted a bunch of him in redraft and my most dominant dynasty team lost him and Nabers all in one swing.
