State Of The State
What do we have here? All four teams in single digits for the first time. Only one is the top half, and barely, but none is terrible — in late May, any could cash, and that’s even more the case given how chaotic and unpredictable the pitching environment has been.
I also feel better about my decision-making throughout my drafts. Even though I felt I did sufficient prep and was reasonably disciplined during the live drafts, it’s impossible not to question yourself when all four teams are in double digits after six weeks.
It’s a weird year, and if you want to win, you’ll need to keep grinding even if Chris Bassitt coughs up seven runs just as you’re digging your ERA and WHIP out of a deep hole.

If I were to get four cashes out of four teams run by proxy, I’d never go back to managing my own teams again. Hell, who am I kidding, I’m never doing that again even if none of them cash. Now that my teams aren’t total garbage, I’m enjoying this as much as ever.
Next goal is all four teams in the top half. Then all four in line to cash, then all four winning their leagues, then winning the Main Event in one and finishing 1-3 overall in the Online. Then dunking a basketball at 5-10, age 52.
LFG.

I don’t want to jinx him because I have Fernando Tatis in two leagues, but I have a sense he’s about to go on a Ronald Acuna-like tear. It’s about time now that he’s gotten a month or so of games under his belt.
