Just a quick update on my teams. None of them are terrible, but the Main Event squad run by Dusty Wagner is now in second place at 103 points, just two out of first place:
I drafted him a great hitting team — first four picks were Mookie Betts, Fernando Tatis, Corbin Carroll and Matt Olson in a 15-team league. I went heavy hitting and gambled on pitching because I wasn’t confident in the top pitchers at their prices and loved the hitting values instead. (I also got Wander Franco in Round 6 and Josh Jung late.)
Unfortnately, the pitching gambles included Lance Lynn, Dustin May and Luis Severino, so Dusty’s had to do the heavy lifting there, and he has, getting Tanner Bibee, Kenta Maeda and Logan Allen, among others.
I still have hope for all my teams — they all had better be top half at least! — but it’s nice to see the best one is the high stakes Main Event.
