I’ve been bitching of late about pitching injuries and the general mediocrity of my teams, but things are looking up, especially in the RotoWire Online contests.
Here’s where they all stand:
The Alex Puma and Ryan Garofalo teams are peripherally still in overall contention and certainly in contention for a cash or league win. The Jack Kitchen team is heating up too:
These are the hitting stats for it over the last week, and this for a team that had Corbin Carroll at 1.8.
Unfortunately, the Garofalo and Puma teams (my two best) both lost Fernando Tatis (their first pick) to the DL, but in the 12 you can get by if it’s a short stint.
The Main Event team is the weakest right now and just needs to get all its pitching back. Dusty Wagner is playing defense, plugging holes, but we *should* get Zac Gallen soon, though Yu Darvish just had a setback, so who knows about him.
The baseball season is such a long grind, and as I’ve mentioned before, you have a massive edge just by making all the moves every week to the very end like clockwork, something that’s aided in my case by outsourcing to competent people who have a fiduciary duty to the teams.
And it’s still only June.
