i stupidly took the +175 on Barkley which was my only action of the game, even though I opened the site expecting to see at least +200, yet still clicked it anyway. Honestly I cared so little about this matchup that I didn't ruminate on the matchups like I typically do. For a minute I fumbled around with a DFS lineup but deleted because my heart just wasn't in it. This has to be the least amount of action I've had on a super bowl since I was probably 16, which was the Broncos/Falcons matchup from the 98 season, and coincidentally also sucked.

I also was happy to see the Eagles win in convincing fashion. the Chiefs this year just weren't good enough to deserve to be the first team in NFL history to win 3 in a row. Their score differential this season was not in consonance with the potential accolades, if you will.

I did lament while watching however, imagining the Lions could have beaten the Chiefs, whom I believe were our best potential AFC matchup. I mentioned this to my 10 year old son while we were watching, to which he replied, "Yeah, but do you think we could have beat the Eagles?" I quickly answered "no."

The little shit is the voice of football reason in the house now, evidently.
