In case it wasn’t already apparent, the Ravens are now drawing dead. Jacoby Brissett should be an improvement, but there are rumors Derrick Henry is getting dealt and maybe some other pieces will follow. Henry turns 33 on January 4, so they might as well get something for him before figuring out what to do in the offseason. As I’ve written before, the Ravens are the AFC’s Eagles — preseason division favorites destroyed by injuries, age and questionable offseason personnel moves.
There’s nothing to say about the Ravens except maybe Zay Flowers will be useful again once Brissett takes over.
The Jaguars didn’t have to work very hard on offense for this one. Parker Washington, despite the preseason hype, isn’t getting that much use. He did catch a 50-yard TD at the end of the first half, but that was it. I suppose game flow had something to do with that too.
Trevor Lawrence was efficient and mistake-free, but the lopsided score killed his upside fairly early.
Given the score, it was a pretty disappointing day for both Jaguars running backs. They did both get into the end zone, but only 22 carries between them with Ameer Abdullah taking over in extended garbage time.
