Week 12 Circa Millions

I’m posting this a bit late because I’ve been walking around the city with my brother, his wife and kids all day. We ended up at Vino Vero, a wine bar in Graça that has oysters and charcuterie. His kids are squeamish eaters, so I had to ingest more of the giant meat plate than I preferred, but someone has to take one for the team. I’m a big meat eater — I think it’s the healthiest way to eat — but I’m also loath to waste any as an animal died for it. Our ancestors feasted on animals, but I have to imagine they availed themselves of the whole animal to the greatest extent practicable.

In any event, I would have taken the Patriots this week but for their playing on Thursday night, so luckily I avoided starting out the week in a hole. I feel good about the picks I did make — they came to me quickly — but feeling good and running well are not the same thing.
