Week 12: Guessing The Lines

I went 2-3 last week to bring my record to 28-26-1 through 11 weeks. As I’ve mentioned before, I’ll keep picking games no matter what my record because every week is a chance to test oneself anew.

I was disappointed two of my three strong leans — Giants and Steelers — failed to cover. I had the Cowboys which was a good read on the setup, and I also lost with the Broncos where I got rugged again late. But you can’t bitch about bad beats with teams that specialize in them — after two or three, you know what you’re getting into, and in fact I take the Patriots almost every week to capitalize on the opposite happening.

This week, I have a couple strong leans early on, where my personal lines diverge both from the guessed lines and actual ones, i.e., I more less knew what the market would say, and I disagree with it.
