Tough weekend of Detroit sports... The Tigers losing was a massive gut punch. It was an amazing season though, so it's hard to be disappointed when expectations were exceeded so spectacularly, but no matter how often I try to tell myself that sort of stuff, the loss is always tough to swallow.
The Lions winning 47-9 was awesome and I should be ecstatic, but I'm not for obvious reasons. The game was great though, and the amount of trolling that the Lions did in an effort to try and get an Offensive Lineman a TD was comical. Not sure if you saw all that, but it was akin to pee wee football "Ok, we're up a boatload, so let's try and get little Tommy a touchdown." Just wild in an NFL game to be beating a team so thoroughly that you want to get a point across about getting jobbed last season.
Losing Hutchinson was tough. When it first happened, I was concerned his career would be in jeopardy, but it seems like it went "well" as far as leg breaks go. It was gruesome and difficult to watch. I would imagine the Lions will attempt to trade for a DE. Fans we're wanting the Lions to make a move for one before this due to the injury to Marcus Davenport, so a move now seems likely.
It would be nice to get Trey Hendrickson but I doubt the Bengals are sellers. Many fans will want Maxx Crosby but I doubt the Lions give up the draft capital for a player of that caliber making that kind of money, despite him being a local kid, as there is players on the current roster who need re-upped soon. I'm also not sold on Maxx as a fit for the locker room. Za'Darius Smith from the Browns seems like a real possibility since the Browns will likely be trying to get as many picks as they can for ammo for a QB in the draft, if necessary. I don't know a ton about him, but he seems ok-ish. Bottom line is, whomever they get will be unlikely to replace the production that Hutchinson was giving, who was play at a DPOY level.
Lastly, I can't stand poor youth coaching. I have to deal with it with my sons CYO football team, mostly of the "favoritism/scheming for their kids" variety. It's enough to make me want to take over. I swore off coaching though after tee-ball phase was over, so that's not going to happen. Your takes are on point, though. Anybody with common sense would be running zone with only 6 kids on a roster and certainly wouldn't be pressing lol.
Height overrated! I'm 6 my wife was 5' 11 , hoping for tall kids and both only just a little taller than me. I'm in 3 Guillotine, all still alive. Football challenge really cool 250$ entry. You create your own lineup with a salary cap each week. Needed to pick your players before season started and you could pick any player you wanted but those locked week 1 so had to be cognizant of their salaries. You can make 17 drop/adds during season. Key is getting a jordan mason at 1800, Darnell Mooney even less as pickups so of course frees up space for the studs. Start a lot of players weekly. More description when click on Football in app.
Never say die! I actually bet Jax as well. First half of first quarter thought right side but then Jags Jagged. Defense absolutely quit. In one seasonal I can make Free Agents adds whenever, commish rules and lifelong friends, I added Sean Tucker and a dropped Watson who looked fine which was really Strange. Bucky looked good, but this is a time share and White is out. Do you have any entires in NFFC football challenge? Appreciate the observations and glad your daughter seems to beast. College scholarship let's go

I mean they could still win, but they won't find anyone as good as Hutchinson.
The coaching drives me crazy -- glad he finally did it, but yeah, not rocket science to conserve energy when you can barely sub.

Great observations and nice going 4-1

Haha thanks -- we'll see. She's 5-6, but I'm only 5-10, and her mom's 5-4, so not sure how much taller she'll get.
Got 4 NFFC teams, but what's "the challenge?"
