I went 2-2-1 last week, but what a job I did guessing the lines! I’ve never been so spot on. Unfortunately, I didn’t pick the Lions or Bucs in the actual contest.
I haven’t looked at the lines yet this week, but just some thoughts on the slate:
Bucs at Falcons — maybe a pick ‘em. Slight Falcons lean at home during the short week, but I won’t use it.
Jets vs Vikings (London game) — maybe Vikings -2.5. Would consider buying low on the Jets, but the Vikings are good.
Panthers at Bears — maybe Panthers +2.5. If anything I’d take the Panthers, but probably stay away.
Ravens at Bengals — I’ll say Ravens -2.5. Probably a good buy-low on Cincy, but it’s a hold your nose if you do it. I might.
Bills at Texans — Houston’s offensive line is terrible, giving up pressure and generating so many penalties it’s unwatchable. I’ll say pick ‘em and go Texans, but probably a stay-away as the Bills are a buy-low
Colts at Jaguars — I’ll say Colts +1.5 and take the Jaguars. Trevor Lawrence is bad, but this is a must-win.
Dolphins at Pats — Two totally destroyed teams. Who cares about this line, stay away.
Browns at Indigenous Peoples — Imagine this will be around 5.5, and you got to take the Browns out of principle because it’s so contrarian. No other way to massage it.
Raiders at Broncos — The Broncos defense might be good. I’d feel confident in the Raiders if Maxx Crosby were playing, but that’s up in the air. I’ll say pick ‘em.
Cardinals at 49ers — Maybe 6.5. I like the Cardinals as a buy-low, but they’ve been frustrating the last couple games.
Packers at Rams — I’ll say Packers minus 3. The Rams are the buy-low, but the Packers are actually good.
Giants at Seahawks — Maybe Seattle minus 6. The Giants aren’t that bad, but Dimes is still a liability. Malik Nabers (concussion) could be cleared too due to the 10-day break.
Cowboys at Steelers — I’ll say pick ‘em. I kind of like Dallas here, but they’ll be missing Micah Parsons, so maybe stay away.
Saints at Chiefs — The Chiefs are so annoying. Maybe Saints plus 5.5. I might take the Saints.
